Description: Globalization has created a world where diseases, risks to health, and pathogens are no longer restricted by borders. As a result of the projected growth and aging of the world’s population in the next few decades, non-communicable neurological diseases, such as stroke, epilepsy, and dementia, will become major contributors to mortality and morbidity. This session will review the most recent statistics on the global burden of neurological diseases and include abstracts presenting epidemiologic and clinical research from different regions of the world.
