Upon completion, participants should be able to know the various causes of primary and secondary brain injury; recognize the conditionsthat can worsen and the therapies that can potentially mitigate secondary brain injury; understand the clinical spectrum of coma; know the basic clinical, laborator, and imaging considerations used in neuroprognostication; and conceptualize brain death, it's implications, and know the basics of commiunicating the condition to family members.
