Aging, Dementia, and Behavioral Neurology
Knowledge: Participants will be introduced to controversies in aducanumab approval, the landscape of potential disease modifying drugs in dementia, existing trial data, and indications for potential use.
Comprehension: Participants will be presented with evidence for and against aducanumab, including information on amyloid related imaging abnormalities
Application: Illustrate risks and benefits of aducanumab and introduce other monoclonal antibodies and potential disease modifying drugs.
Analysis: Participants will be given tools to appraise evidence for aducanumab approval and provide critical interpretation of trial data.
Synthesis: The panel will assemble opinions from dementia leaders in order to formulate plans for future dementia disease modifying therapies.
Evaluation: Participants will be able to argue the case for and against aducanumab use and be provided with tools for clinical guidance.
