Participants should be able to articulate the major physiological changes that occur during the menopausal transition, as well as in the postmenopausal decades, including changes that arise both in nerves and glia, as well as in other systems (cardiovascular, immune, musculoskeletal) that can influence neurological functions. Participants should be able to explain the evidence of these changes, and their impact on perimenopausal and postmenopausal trajectories of brain health.
