Participants should become familiar with the differential diagnoses, investigation, and management of patients with hereditary spinocerebellar and spastic ataxias. Particular attention will be given to benefits and limitations of genetic testing, different types of genetic testing, update on pathophysiology, and potential for new and genetic therapies.
