Participants should be familiar with recent advances in the care of patients with brain injury resuscitated from cardiac arrest; learn an evidence-based approach to prognostication using clinical evaluation and diagnostic modalities based on the AAN practice guideline; enhance their understanding of acute management, focusing on therapeutic hypothermia and other promising neuroprotective strategies; and be updated on the management of other related neurologic complications in survivors of cardiac arrest.
