Upon completion:
Participants should be aware of the more frequent comorbid neurological, medical, and psychiatric associated with epileptic seizure disorders and the way they influence the course of epilepsy; be able to recognize the negative impact of frequently used antiepileptic drugs on pharmacological regimens of common neurological, medical, and psychiatric comorbidities; be able to choose the appropriate psychotropic drugs for the management of common psychiatric comorbidities in patients with epilepsy; and be able to anticipate the obstacles posed by comorbid medical conditions on the treatment of epileptic seizure disorders.
