Upon completion:
Participants should be able to describe the currently available classes of immunosuppressive and myelo-suppressive agents, their neurologic and non-neurologic toxicities, and the practical aspects of their administration; explain the rationale and optimum strategies for the use of these agents in a wide spectrum of primary and secondary nervous system disorders; establish a safe and efficient office-based program for the use of immunosuppressive and myelosuppressive therapies in patients with nervous system diseases; and discuss novel and evolving roles for immunosuppressive therapies in nervous system diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
