Upon completion:
Participants should be able to understand the scientific principles and practical difficulties involved in two basic kinds of therapy to promote neural repair: gene therapy based on cell transplantation, and pharmacological therapies; and learn the basic issues involved in promoting neuronal survival and axonal regeneration in the CNS.
