AAN Patient Safety Education Program

The AAN Patient Safety Education Program provides information on how to identify potential patient safety risks and apply the strategies and methods to mitigate these risks and improve patient safety in your practice.

The AAN Patient Safety Education Program is designed to help AAN members address the ABPN’s recently implemented, onetime requirement of diplomates to complete an approved patient safety course within three years prior to their board certification/recertification, or in their first C-Continuing Certification (CC) block. The ABPN requirement was implemented in 2016.
