Q: How many participants are in each program cohort?
A: Up to 10 total participants are selected for each program.

Q: How are participants selected?
A: Each program has a dedicated review work group that reviews all applications. Candidates are graded based on their leadership potential, self-awareness and understanding of leadership, and alignment with the specific program and leadership developmental needs.

Q: What’s the time commitment? Overall, by month?
A: Time commitment varies by program, but these programs require your full energy and attention, and at certain times could include up to 10+ hours a month. Programs with group projects are the most time intensive. Participants are required to attend all leadership meetings, coaching calls, and small group calls.

Q: What travel is involved?
A: Participants will typically travel for the kickoff meeting and graduation of the program for a total of two in-person meetings. Some programs will travel an additional time for a total of three in-person meetings.

Q: What opportunities are there at the Annual Meeting for leadership participants?
A: Participants will spend time in leadership development programming with their cohort, along with attending a day-long program specifically tailored for current cohorts to learn more about the AAN. There is also a social reception event to network and meet other members of leadership programs.

A: Please contact the AAN staff member to recommend or refer a colleague. The staff member will then provide more information about the program.
