regional conference subcommittee

The Regional Conference Subcommittee is a subcommittee of the Meeting Management Committee. This subcommittee envisions, develops, and evaluates AAN Regional Conferences while monitoring and evaluating the needs of the AAN in developing additional conferences, sunsetting, and/or modifying current conferences. The education and scientific curricula will continue to be developed by the Conferences Subcommittee.

Job Description

Responsibilities 

• Recommend enhancements to existing AAN Regional Conferences. 
• Recommend potential new AAN Regional Conferences. 
• Recommend policies, structure, and format for AAN Regional Conferences.

Meeting Schedule

Attend one or two meetings each year: 

• Fall meeting to review current conferences, recommend changes, and discuss future growth. 
• Possible meeting during the AAN Annual Meeting if schedules allow and warranted agenda items.
• Participate in conference calls with other subcommittee members on relevant issues as they arise throughout the year.  

Estimated Time Commitment 

One hour every few months, plus meetings.
