Neuroscience in the Clinic Session

Aging, Dementia, and Behavioral Neurology, Movement Disorders
Participants will become familiar with neural mechanisms underlying memory processes and be introduced to novel stimulation-based and neurofeedback approaches being developed to promote memory-related brain activity in Alzheimer's and other diseases of aging. We will discuss how such strategies for manipulating brain activity hold promise for therapeutic benefit as well as shedding light on fundamental mechanisms of cognitive processes.
