This program will be presented both in-person and online
This program will be available in the meeting's On Demand product.
Neuroscience in the Clinic Session
Antonio M. Omuro, MD, FAAN, Sunil Sheth, MD
Neuro-oncology
In this program, presenters will discuss recent applications of artificial intelligence (AI) within the field of neurology and highlight recent successes as well as existing challenges in AI applications for clinical practice. AI has shown promise by enabling rapid processing of an increasing amount of complex data, including cross-sectional imaging, histology, electrophysiology, and genomic data, which can aid with disease diagnosis, classification, risk stratification, prognosis, and treatment response. In this program, clinicians will review potential applications of these tools in a variety of specialties such as Stroke, Neuro-Oncology, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuro-Imaging and others. Machine learning scientists will review the underlying principles and discuss the latest technological advances in the field, and provide tools to help neurologists understand the literature and embrace novel technologies. Select abstracts submitted to the AAN Annual meeting will then be discussed in depth, and questions from the audience will be addressed by the panel.
