Participants should recognize the complexities involved in identifying and diagnosing concussion; become familiar with the myriad ways in which individuals who present with symptoms or signs in the acute, sub-acute, and chronic timeframes can be analyzed, differentiated, and classified; and develop skills useful in comparing and contrasting approaches to evaluating and treating individuals with possible, probable, or definite concussion and the potential cumulative effects.
