General Neurology
David Greer, MD, MA, FAAN, the AAN 2022 recipient of the A.B. Baker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Neurologic Education, will discuss approaches to modern medical education of neurologists, including students, residents, fellows and even faculty. “What’s Old is New Again” is meant to emphasize that, although tremendous advances have been made in medical education over the years – including simulation, flipped classrooms, and modern learning theory – there is no substitute for individual connections with learners, regardless of the format. Attendees will learn how to establish and maintain these connections, helping to ensure the most rewarding experience, not just for the learner but for the educator as well.
