Conflict is common. While recognizing that we want to encourage an open atmosphere and healthy dissent, there are times when we need to step in to avoid damage, as leaders, peers, or team members. In academia, there is scant formal training to support us in managing conflicts to a best outcome and we often learn on the job. This panel discussion will share key principles in conflict resolution and use vignettes to illustrate how these may be applied in practice. In an interactive session, there will be a chance to brainstorm, exchange ideas, and share best practices.
