Leadership
Managing up requires first identifying the leadership structure and “movers” (people of influence) within one’s institution and/or specialty/national stage. Leaders also need to have an understanding and/or aligning of their own strategic vision with the institution's or program's vision. Ultimately identifying allies and people who influence personal career or leadership roles in order to advance said career or strategic vision and missions of group.
