Practice, Policy, and Ethics
Participants will learn about appropriate use of codes for interactions with patients and their families that occur in settings other than office or telemedicine visits; the requirements for billing non-face-to-face codes and how implementing these codes can benefit patients and the organization; the requirements for chronic and principal care management codes, and how implementing these codes can benefit patients and the organization; and appropriate coding for visits which occur in alternative settings (via patient portal and telephone encounters).
