The first part of this two-pronged project will involve development and implementation of an online survey assessing inclusion of employees with disabilities in a neurology department. The second part will use a unique qualitative research method, ‘walking interviews,’ to assess the accessibility of clinical environments by involving patients and employees with disabilities. This talk will present new ways of thinking about accessability for employees and patients in academic neurology spaces. Mihir Kakara, MD, is a 2022 recipient of the AAN Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-racism, and Social Justice (IDEAS) Innovator Grant.
