The purpose of this session would be to lead subspecialists into a discussion about their roles in promoting health equity in their practices. Much of the guidance for this kind of work is for generalists and often subspecialists don't see this as relevant to their practice. We will highlight some examples of why this is important for subspecialists (newly approved expensive drugs and access to clinical trials) and collectively identify some strategies to move forward.
