Participants should become familiar with the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders as a significant comorbidity in people with epilepsy; describe approach to the patient with nonepileptic seizures or nonepileptic behavioral events, the comorbid psychopathology, and its treatment; and recognize and manage acute seizure-related behavioral problems and postictal psychosis.
