Participants should understand the basic neuroanatomy of the dorsal (WHERE) and ventral (WHAT) pathways that govern post-striate visual processing; and become familiar with the history, clinical manifestations, and scientific studies relating to ventral pathway disorders, including cortical dyschromatopsia, visual apperceptive agnosia, alexia without agraphia, and prosopagnosia, as well as disorders of the dorsal pathway, including optic ataxia, ocular apraxia, and simultagnosia.
