Learning Objectives In 2019 The Lancet commissioned an international body of epileptologists to provide up-to-date guidance to the non-specialist community on how to optimally care for children and adults with epilepsy. The work is focused on selecting appropriate diagnostic procedures, navigating the initial encounter, and selecting the first or second treatment to optimize outcomes. This session will introduce the information provided in the Commission Report, which is due to be published in 2024.
