Participants should learn the importance of diversity regarding patient care and outcomes; become familiar with biases affecting recruitment of diverse neurologists into residency programs, and ways to mitigate this as program directors; become familiar with biases affecting minority medical students and research into this domain; and learn how to institute a DEI curriculum for neurology residents.
