Learning Objectives
General neurology fellowship programs are emerging across the country to support neurologists interested in academic careers in general neurology. These programs provide additional training, mentoring, and clinical experience to improve the quality and breadth of outpatient care and provide additional education in the teaching of clinical neurology. UCSF has developed a general neurology fellowship with three tracks: novel disease, education, and policy and clinical practice. This program will explore the development and operation of UCSF’s general neurology fellowship, reflecting on the challenges and successes of its implementation and evolution.
