Guiding a patient through driving and flying a vehicle is a difficult clinical conundrum. This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the ethical and medical challenges surrounding the eligibility of pilots and patients with neuro conditions to operate vehicles. Using a highly interactive case-based format, leading experts in neurology, FAA aviation medicine, and transportation safety, participants will delve into how to approach regulatory decisions in patients with neurologic issues. Participants should gain a nuanced understanding of the complex considerations involving diagnostics, therapy, ethical and legal issues that influence decisions related to flight and driving clearances, ultimately contributing to improved patient care and public safety.
